Jared Freiburg is a singer, pianist and producer who was born and raised in West Des Moines, Iowa. Whilst others of his generation likely listened to pop music around the year 2000, he was instead exposed to numerous 50's and 60's styles by way of his parents and grandparents that set him up for a dense musical pallet at a young age.
At the age 5 he learned how to play piano which quickly became an obsession. Along with this, he participated in numerous Choral, Musical, and Theatrical ensembles in High School. In 2015, at the age of 17, he was selected as one of four males in the country to represent The GRAMMY Foundation in a vocal jazz ensemble - which recorded the GRAMMY Jazz Camp 23 album at Capital Studios in Los Angeles, CA. This same ensemble performed at the 2015 GRAMMY Awards.
After High School, Jared attended the Bob Cole Conservatory in Long Beach, CA where he studied Jazz Performance for a brief period - ultimately deciding to change gears, accepting an offer to begin his professional career performing in the role of Jerry Lee Lewis with Broadway’s Million Dollar Quartet onboard Norwegian Cruise Line in 2016.
In 2019, Jared produced and debuted Jared Freiburg & The Vagabonds, a new venture which blended together his experience as a rock and roll pianist along with his other musical passions including jazz, blues and country music into a high-energy and entertaining stage show. With this group, Jared currently tours consistently around the United States and onboard various cruise lines. This resulted in his departure from Million Dollar Quartet with the exception of reprising the role of Jerry Lee Lewis in the world premiere of Million Dollar Quartet Christmas in 2021, as well as participating in the official cast album released in 2022.
